Symmetric Skepticism

The word 'hostile' adopts the US government's characterization of Russian, Iranian, and Chinese media — the same outlets this observatory is supposed to treat as source ecosystems rather than adversaries. The editorial should describe these as 'non-Western ecosystems' or name them directly.
The section 'Iranian media builds a "your own press says you're losing" architecture' does excellent work identifying a specific information operation — but the window also contained the Russian ecosystem running the $10M Mojtaba bounty and Zelensky-Pahlavi meeting with evident strategic framing. Foregrounding Iranian info operations while dropping the Russian ecosystem's parallel moves creates an asymmetry the meta layer should have caught.
The Sharjah tanker fire appears in the editorial body without the caveat that Press TV and Tasnim describe it as 'a US tanker, though this is unverified' — a qualification present in the energy/trade draft that the synthesis dropped.
